Hi.
I am Barney Collier, a director of Graphotechnology, Inc., the leading researcher on the clinical applications of handwriting analysis. We are currently pursuing a major study on handwriting and gambling, the results are becoming extremely interesting.
We would like to anonymously collect samples of authentic handwriting from "problem gamblers" to compare to other types of gamblers. If interested, you can choose to receive a 7-10 page CHAP® graphoanalysis, which indicates stress level, communication skills, goal levels, thinking patterns, achievement traits and emotional orientation. It is important to assure you that this is a research project - NOT an advertisement NOR a solicitation. Please visit our website at www.graphologyconsulting.com for an overview of the company and information on the science behind handwriting analysis. We will not contact you again after submitting your writing sample, unless you write to us first.
Your submission can remain entirely confidential by using a number or a pseudonym on your handwriting sample. We need no more than 65 words (see paragraph below) written with a ballpoint pen on unlined paper.
If there is either interest or dismay in this project, I'd appreciate feedback. I would also be interested in linking together several GA members and others to anonymously conduct an online brainstorm about the possibilities of the handwriting/gambling connection. Suggestions are welcome.

To submit a handwriting sample:
Copy the below paragraph in your natural hand with a ballpoint pen on unlined paper. If you normally print, do so. DO NOT SIGN YOUR NAME, but if you are not a “problem gambler” please indicate that at the top of the page, or refrain from submitting your handwriting. Thank you.
I consider myself and am considered by others to be [or not to be] a “problem gambler.” I believe the more I know about myself, the better my potential will be for personal self-management of my skills, talents and impulses. I offer my handwriting willingly for the purposes of beneficial research. I understand this anonymous sample becomes the sole property of Graphology Consulting Group/Graphotechnology.
You can scan your handwriting sample and email it to susan@graphologyconsulting.com; you will receive a confirmation note. If you wish to receive a CHAP® handwriting analysis report.via email, please include your email address at the bottom of your handwriting sample, otherwise please include a mailing address.
