Read on villain is hes pretty average. Im relatively sure my hand is good here, that weak lead looks pretty pathetic to me-- i just dont know if he has absolute crap, or actually has a pair that i can beat, or what- he defends his BB with alot of shite.

I think a raise gives you some information on the flop. If you just smooth call here and raise the turn, it might give you information as well as scare him. But, I think I raise the turn if I think I am good, board has no draws and isn't scary at all...then go to value town.
You are good against most hands if he defends with shite, so I agree that you are ahead based on your info and should play it that way.

Bah you TESTICLE! Of course i put in the raise, and he mucked immediately, the turn never even came. Dandahn, the self described 3/6 limit mizor actually saw what the issue was, which was that i thought my hand was good, and even if it wasnt, since there was no way i was folding this hand to this mizor headsup anyways, the correct play most likely would be to check/call the flop and pop his ass on the turn, thereby taking him to VALUE TOWN....
of course, the other aspect of that is whether i should put in the raise immediately so he folds, assuming he has overcards and id rather him fold and protect my eights than flat call him and have him spike something stupid like a T on the turn if he was just shooting off with JT or something. However, i think that this consideration is outweighed by the other, because the assumption is that he'll call the flop raise and peel one anyways (like 90% that happens) with just about anything, which means that raise isnt really protecting my hand...people will peel one with nothing in this spot, first off because they think they might have two live ones if i dont have the K, and secondly because it looks so weak and/or mizorly to fold here the way he did- even with barely anything, most people will donk off the small bet and see the turn.
Thus, a flat call and a turn raise was probably the correct play.
Of course, if he happened to have the K then life would be in the gutter, but like i said i thought my hand was good, so i shouldve played it for value, and if he had me beat then NIHAN to him...
