My party poker account has been inactive for a long time now, but I received an email this morning saying that they have taken a $5 administration fee and will do the same every month until I log on and play again. Decided to uninstall them and withdraw my money. This is the problem when a site starts to dominate the market.

Huh. Is that legal? You should read the terms and conditions of poker account for that site like http://www.poker12.co.uk just show what all these idiot sites are like.

I said on that thread and I'll say it here. Once spring kicks in and I don't need their jumpers no more that's me and Party quits. (I'm too cheap to buy my own clothes) boo-YA, when Stars over-takes them to be #1 poker site it'll be a happy day for me. I hope this happens in 2008.

Personally I don't like Party. It seems they don't provide enough quality for the money they take as the rake.
But I've never heard about that kind of fees. You'd better check their T&C...

You should know following things before activation of your account:
If the Inactive Account Fee is $5, and your account is inactive for seven (7) months, then you will have to pay a $5 charge at the end of the 180-day grace period (day 181) and then every thirty (30) days thereafter if your account remains inactive. But some good sites don't follow this type of terms and conditions which causes a lot of problem for their players. One good site out of them is http://www.pokerroomgold.co.uk .
