Has anyone ever booked a "Don't place" bet, if so where is the bet placed on the layout? I found very limited info about it. I originally found it in a book and am stumped about it.

I know that the odds are 4& 10 are 5 to 11, the 5 & 9 are 5 to 8, and the 6 & 8 are 4 to 5 and that the house advantage 3.03, 2.5 and 1.82% respectively, but other than that nothing...

The player would actually have to throw down $11 to get paid $5. If they went through the DC the number would have to roll twice to get paid This happened to me playing online on http://www.deonlinecasino.com until I got sick of it .The don't place is just like a normal place bet throw it down any time and get paid, or lose in this case when the number rolls the first time.

I see.. So instead of risk the 7 or 11 they just by pass it and throw down a don't place bet.. hum... interesting.. but odds wise ... once your don't bar actually makes it past the 7 or 11 you as a player have a huge advantage against the house.. but i see how this can work.. just like if your playing at a 3x4x5x table it is stupid to play odds.. you may as well save your pass line for a place...
